Medical Volunteers Needed
Directly after AADMD's One Voice Igniting Change conference - our partner Special Olympics will hold their USA Games in Seattle July 1-6 2018 with more than 2,700 athletes from around the country. They need qualified medical volunteers for health screenings at their Healthy Athletes program during the games. The Healthy Athletes program provides health services and education to Special Olympics athletes - changing the way health systems interact with people with intellectual disabilities.
Since Washington State issues temporary licenses for clinical providers, volunteers from across the United States can come and volunteer at the USA Games! They're asking if any providers attending the AADMD Conference would consider volunteering their time and talents to assist with this program. Please see the table below for available volunteer shifts as well as medical volunteer registration instructions.
AADMD has teamed up with Special Olympics and the Golisano Foundation to kick off the US National Games for Special Olympics, held July 1-6 in Seattle Washington.
